This author has truly captured the magical relationship and bond between a Grandmother and her Grandchildren through dialog, sights and sounds, in this app! My boys read this with their Grandmother and remained engaged from beginning to end. They exchanged kisses, hugs and smiles while sharing this wonderful app, with Grandmother sitting in between the two boys. The rhyming story is so delightful. The boys loved looking, finding and touching that sock monkey, who was located on nearly every page. The amount of interactive features throughout the app was amazing. The illustrations, animations, interactivity and narration are superb! The navigation is child and Grandmother friendly. This app has wonderful features such as the 3D appearance of a true pop up book. The pages also expand at your fingertips. As a parent, I love the highlighted text, it's great for my budding reader. Another great feature allows you to choose the text size of large, big, medium and small, which is a blessing for grandmother! This is one of those rare apps that truly offers a beautiful experience to it's readers and I would HIGHLY recommend it!
Comments : Love grandmamma's world because I just had the best laugh with all 3 of my grandchildren as we went thru the book on my iPad. When I first seen it I admit I thought it was a bit much but the kids thought it was wonderful and after all it is for them so you passed the test here -ages 6, 5 and 2 all enjoyed it especially the fish - my grandson couldn't stop laughing. He said his tummy hurt - I remember the days of laughing so hard my tummy hurt and there's nothing like it. Great job!
